Tired of living with pain? Here at SK Physio, we help you to reduce pain and better manage your long term conditions, feel stronger, move freely, and get back to the life you love. From sports injuries to women's health, every plan is built around you and your goals.
SK Physio specialises in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions — helping you understand your body and get back to living fully.
Musculoskeletal conditions affect the muscles, bones, joints, tendons, and ligaments throughout your body. They can result from injury, overuse, age-related wear, surgery, or underlying health conditions. Whether your pain is acute or long-standing, our evidence-based approach gets to the root cause and creates a personalised plan to restore your strength and function.
From acute lower back strains to chronic disc-related pain, facet joint problems, and postural issues — one of the most common conditions we treat with excellent outcomes. We also treat women's health-related back pain, including that linked to pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and hormonal changes.
Cervical spine stiffness, whiplash, disc problems, and postural neck pain. Often accompanied by headaches or referred arm pain — all treatable with manual therapy and exercise.
Rotator cuff injuries, frozen shoulder, impingement, instability, and post-surgical shoulder rehabilitation. We restore pain-free movement and strength to the full shoulder complex.
Meniscal injuries, ligament sprains, patellofemoral pain, osteoarthritis, and post-operative rehabilitation including ACL reconstruction and total knee replacement.
Hip impingement (FAI), bursitis, labral tears, osteoarthritis, groin pain, and post-operative recovery including total hip replacement.
Achilles tendinopathy, plantar fasciitis, ankle sprains, tibialis posterior dysfunction, and general foot pain — assessed and treated with targeted rehabilitation.
De Quervain's tenosynovitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, wrist sprains, tendon injuries, and post-operative hand and wrist rehabilitation.
Tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis), golfer's elbow (medial epicondylitis), bursitis, and elbow joint stiffness — treated with manual therapy and progressive loading.
Temporomandibular joint dysfunction causing jaw pain, clicking, headaches, and facial discomfort. Physiotherapy provides effective relief through muscle treatment and jaw exercises. (N.B. we are not specialised in TMJ pain but can advise accordingly).
Cervicogenic headaches, tension-type headaches, and migraine management where a musculoskeletal component is identified — addressed through neck treatment, posture correction, and exercise.

Auricular therapy (ear acupuncture)
Acupuncture involves inserting very fine, sterile needles into specific points on the body to stimulate the nervous system, release natural pain-relieving chemicals, and promote healing. At SK Physio, we believe in using both traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine to promote healing and help you feel better. Do the needles hurt? No — it feels like a little scratch, and your physiotherapist will always explain the process fully before treatment begins.
Ear acupuncture, also known as auricular therapy, works on a similar principle to body acupuncture — the ear is considered a microsystem of the whole body, with specific points on the ear corresponding to different organs, systems, and areas of the body. By stimulating these points with fine needles or small ear seeds, we can promote healing and relief throughout the whole body.
Similar to a body MOT, ear acupuncture provides a whole-body approach — addressing not just localised pain but supporting the body's overall balance and function. It can be particularly helpful for a range of medical and wellbeing conditions including:
Therapeutic massage targets soft tissues — muscles, tendons, and connective tissue — to relieve pain, reduce tension, improve circulation, and support recovery. We offer soft tissue massage, deep tissue massage, and manual lymphatic drainage (MLD), a gentle technique that stimulates the lymphatic system to reduce swelling, detoxify the body, and support immune function. Treat yourself to taking the step to treating your body like a temple!
Manual therapy is a cornerstone of physiotherapy — the skilled, hands-on treatment of muscles, joints, and soft tissues. You know when you just need someone to pull, stretch, and manoeuvre your joints and muscles? That's exactly what this is. It's evidence-based, safe, and highly effective for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. Please note that this type of treatment depends on your symptoms and your physiotherapist's clinical opinion.
Exercise is one of the most powerful tools in physiotherapy. Rather than generic gym programmes, we prescribe specific, targeted exercises designed around your diagnosis, your body, and your goals. Getting back into physical activity and/or the gym after an injury requires more than just rest — and at SK Physio, we can help you devise a structured rehab plan, suitable just for you. The best part? We'll build it around your schedule. This is where many women struggle and gradually lose their physical independence, but we're here to make sure that doesn't happen. There will always be a plan to support you — and to keep you moving. Get yourself booked in for an assessment!
TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) uses low-voltage electrical currents delivered through small pads placed on the skin to interrupt pain signals and stimulate the release of endorphins — your body's natural painkillers. It is a safe, non-invasive, drug-free treatment that can provide significant short-term relief for a wide range of painful conditions. A good option if you're not a fan of taking pills!
Do you experience pain which you have lived with for a long time? Living with long-term pain is exhausting — physically and mentally. Chronic pain management at SK Physio takes a whole-person approach, combining hands-on treatment with pain education, graded exercise, and lifestyle strategies. We treat chronic pain conditions such as rheumatoid conditions, arthritis, fibromyalgia, and more — helping you understand how pain works, why pain persists, how to manage it, and how to gradually reduce its impact on your day-to-day life.
Women's health physiotherapy at SK Physio is a specialist service dedicated to supporting women through all stages of life — from pregnancy and the postnatal period through to menopause and beyond. In a safe, private, female-only environment, we provide compassionate, expert care tailored entirely to you.
The pelvic floor is a group of muscles, ligaments, and connective tissue at the base of the pelvis — essential for bladder, bowel, and sexual function, as well as core stability. We provide expert assessment and treatment for stress urinary incontinence, urgency, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, sacroiliac joint dysfunction, and diastasis recti.
Pregnancy places significant demands on your body. We help you stay strong, comfortable, and active throughout — addressing pelvic girdle pain (PGP), symphysis pubis dysfunction (SPD), lower back and hip pain, pelvic floor preparation for labour, safe exercise guidance, and rib and thoracic pain as the baby grows.
The postnatal period is a critical time for recovery, yet many women receive little support. Our postnatal physiotherapy service helps you recover safely and confidently after birth — whether vaginal or caesarean — with tailored rehabilitation, pelvic floor recovery, scar management, and safe return-to-exercise guidance.
The Mummy MOT is a comprehensive postnatal assessment recommended for all women from 6 weeks after birth. It includes:
Real results from real women across Bradford and West Yorkshire.
Excellent first session at SK Physio. She listened carefully, checked the area that was hurting, and explained everything clearly. The massage helped ease some of the pain, and she gave me exercises to start with and explained when to follow up. Felt professional and reassuring throughout, would definitely recommend her!
Saima is highly professional, hygienic, and very approachable, and she immediately put me at ease. As a hijabi gym girl, I greatly appreciated that my awra was respected throughout the treatment, which allowed me to feel comfortable and relaxed at all times. The massage itself was thorough, restorative, and left me feeling lighter, calmer, and deeply refreshed. I would highly recommend Saima to anyone seeking a trustworthy, knowledgeable, and skilled physio who truly cares for her clients' wellbeing.
"I arranged an appointment with Saima following a freak injury almost two weeks ago that was causing immense pain physically and mentally. Saima was so, so kind and supportive. She definitely knows her stuff and was super professional throughout. She checked my joint out thoroughly, diagnosed my injury and gave me a clear rehab plan. She also massaged the muscle + taped the joint which made me feel lighter instantly. We've booked my follow up and for the first time in almost two weeks I feel hopeful about my recovery and ability to bounce back stronger. So, so grateful and seriously would recommend her to anyone."
